Is it just me?
gnome-base/gnome-2.10.1 is marked as stable, but a number of its dependencies are keyword masked. This causes a bit of a problem if I try to "emerge -pDuv world"
I'm perfectly happy to stick with the current Gnome (2.10-r1) -- I'm not champing at the bit for 2.10.1. I'd prefer it if the meta-package would stay keyword masked until all its dependencies are also unmasked.
I don't mind setting a keyword mask for a package I really want, but I don't want to have to unmask dozens of dependencies just to get emerge world to work, particularly if the package that triggers the problem is itself marked as "stable". |

do you have gnome packages in your PORTAGE_OVERLAY? I've had that problem too with gentopia-portage... _________________ Get a life...

Good call.
I still had old ebuilds of current packages that had changed hanging around in my overlay. |
