I was trying to find out the release schedule for the 2005.1 version
When I searched I found over 200 matches but then I realized that the search engine was stripping the '.1' off of my search term
does anyone know when the 2005.1 is scheduled for release?

| According to the DistroWatch Weekly it is due this month although I think it will be delayed. |

I don't think so. The 2005.1 liveCD splash theme has already been pushed into stable portage, so 2005.1 itself likely to be out this month. |

The answer will always be "when it's ready".  This FAQ explains it better.
For discussion of the forum search, please see this thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-33345.html. 2005.1 was split up by the decimal point into 2005 1, and 1 was then ignored like all search terms under three characters.
