outlook webaccess or something like it on linux

i have seen certain people who came into my work place
who via the webbrowser, check their emails via some coorporate remote access thing,
and it literarly looks like outlook, via a webbrowser.. -
the beauty of that is they can use one single mail client remotely and localy..
i guess i can do the same with a webmail client - but its crap using a webmail client localy, especially really plain ones like webmail.

so can anyone recommend an option that actually works.

for instance, is there anyway i can use evolution remotely?

one solution i have is to access my pc via ssh and check mail using X Forwarding and use that to open evolution...
but its annoying - this means i have to install cygwin on the coputer i'm using and i dont always have that option..

so, what program can i use?

check out squirrelmail, in portage. it's got a lot of features, plugins, etc.
i use it locally and remotely.

It's Microsoft Exchange... you can try openExchange on Gentoo, check the documentation forum.
