Keyboard and mouse only working randomly.
The keyboard-problem can be solved by pressing shift in the kernel-boot-up-period.
But there's no solution to get the mouse working... It just works randomly.
I got an Intel i915-Board. It's a PS2-problem, and I tried different keyboards and mouses - problem stays the same.
Even tried different kernels and versions of them. All of them 2.6-versions.

The guy in this thread has *exactly* the same problem as I do.
The only difference is, he's got a laptop, and I've got a desktop pc.
The same problem occurs with different livecds: 2005.0 or 2004.3.
What kernel uses 2004.3, anyway? Because there it doesn't happens as much as in 2005.0.
WHEN IS THIS PROBLEM *FINALLY* GETTING SOLVED SO I *FINALL* AM ABLE TO USE GENTOO?! |

The mouse problem could be solved by removing those mouseparts in kernel that don't correspond with the mouse. |

Does it help if you boot with "usb-handoff" kernel boot option? _________________ Dmitry |
