Hi,
I'm trying to run my Rosetta Stone Japanese language course with Gentoo by using Cedega 4.3
Its's known not to work with CrossOver Office at all and Wine crashes on initialization.
With Cedega, I had a little more luck, but still nog enough.
The program starts, but then I get a message saying there's not enough memory.
Screenshot: http://suikun.free.fr/images/Screenshot-Error.png ( 6.7KBytes )
The only thing I can do is abort Cedega with CTRL-C
Code: | jcapraro@Satoshi ~/.transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/The Rosetta Stone/The Rosetta Stone $ cedega TheRosettaStone.exe
mmtime pid=20601 tid=20601
tid 20575 received signal 2. Raising signal 3
/usr/bin/cedega: line 348: 20575 Quit $SHELL -c "$RUNWINE $WINVER -debugmsg $DEBUGMSG -use-dos-cwd $WORKDIR $EJECT $DT -- $COMMAND_LINE" |
Is there someone who might know how to "increase" the memory ?
I've 1GB RAM, so that cannot be the problem. It runs on my brother's laptop with 512MB RAM (Windows XP).
Thank you in advance ^^ |

Have you tried messing around with cedega's configuration file ??? It's quite detailed.
Also, you should try asking this on the cedega forums and mailing lists. Since you paid
for the software, you should try to use their support. |

You can also use their online service rather than the actual software, I tried a variety of options to get it working under linux to no avail, VMware was a little too slow for my liking but the online program works great. _________________ ..::I reject your reality and substitute my own::.. |

I can't post on transgaming anymore ... but that's my fault for not renewing my subscriptions as I stopped gaming a while ago. (I've periods like that :p )
When using their online service, do you've to download the content over and over again ?
It sounds a little stupid to me as I spent > 300$ for the package... |

Has somebody got Rosetta Stone to run?
I would really like to get it, but it's too expensive for non-working software. _________________ .. Look behind you, a three headed monkey! ... |
