| OK folks, just got gone a AMD64 install. When the init gets to 'Starting lo" it pauses, for like 5 minutes. No error or anything, just sits there. Eventually, the init will complete. Anyone seen this one before? |

| Installation was succesful apparently so not an installation support question. Therefore moved from Installing Gentoo to Other Things Gentoo. |

| Ahhh, I spoke too soon, apparently there's more. EVERYTHING takes a good 5 minutes. Input login name, wait, input password, wait, ls, wait some more. Interestingly enough, if I ctrl-alt to another session, whatever the first session is doing completes immediatly. |
