|
|
I have 2 ADSL modems, 2 ISP accounts (same provider), both at 1500/256. Can this be successfully achieved, or should i just look at the Netcomm product to do this task. Googling the query returns some pages suggesting the use of sch_teql, but i just want to know if anyone has had any success with such a task.

You could achieve this using the iproute2 teql module, but only for connections initiated from inside your network.
All connections coming from the Internet would experience severe problems, or simply not work at all.
Even so, you would need to craft custom iptables rules to make sure that connection-dependent services (like VoIP, P2P, FTP etc..) all use just one interface - they will surely b0rk when they get replies from a different IP.
Definitely not a trivial exercise!
A couple of (cheap) workarounds are:
- arrange to send alternating PC's to either one or the other interface, easily done in iptables, or
- split up your services between them, also a simple iptables job. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

What is the goal of this?
If it is to have a fallback internet connection look here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-367713.html
If you want to combine the two connections to get one 3MBit Connection your ISP has to support this, too.
If you want to split it, than use iptables _________________ ...it's only Rock'n'Roll, but I like it! |
