|
|
Hi,
I installed wine 20050111 with IE 6 and JAVA
j2re-1_4_2_08-windows-i586-p.exe package. Non java pages in IE works quite OK,
but when I go to a site where java applets are loaded, IE freezes and applet is not loaded. Than I have to
kill the IE manually.
I have Similar behaviour with wine 20041019 but in this case IE crashes totally on loading java applet.
I installed the IE because of intention of Java applets usage. Can someone know how to fix this?
Thanks |

The problem gets a little complicated when you need to open this link with
wine + ie6 + msjvm:

On my machine its a total crash. _________________ The first successor of Saint Peter was Linus (a.d. 68-79) - whose namesake became the creator of Linux in our time. Torvalds' middle name is Benedict - the name assumed by the previous Pope who resigned from office. |

why do you need to open it with wine+ie6+msjvm?
if you are web developing, i dont think wine+ie6+msjvm is a platform worth supporting,
if you want to test compatibility i'd use ie in windows or a mac with ie6.
i cannot read polish but an applet loads and scrolls blue polish text in firefox+sun-jre. |

It's all about choice. the site should give you a login screen, not a scrolling text. the problem is with the service provider - it is a brokarage firm. they don't want to listen to their clients about sun Java, and that's it.

i didnt mean to sound harsh about your browser platform. i support your right to use whatever software you want. i just thought you could eliminate some variables.
and you are right, sun java is the best java, |
