I edited my /etc/bashrc but my aliases are not working. Need some help here please... |

Indeed.
It will only work if bash has had the possibility to re-read it after saving.
Did you do a fresh login since editing?
Alternatively, you can do a "source .bashrc"

I did a fresh login/reboot, it doesnt help.
"source .bashrc" does the trick, no errors.
It's puzzling me... |

Sorry, I misread your first post and thought you meant .bashrc instead of /etc/bashrc.
You would of course have to "source" the file you edited.
AFAIK Gentoos bash setup doesn't use /etc/bashrc anymore, try /etc/bash/bashrc instead.
