HI:
I had a working Gentoo system with one HD
/dev/sda1 -> Boot
/dev/sda2 -> Linux Swap
/dev/sda3 -> root
I added three other drives, now upon df -h and fdisk -l I get that my original installation is
/dev/sdd1 -> Boot
/dev/sdd2 -> Linux Swap
/dev/sdd3 -> root
I removed Boot partitions on other HDs /dev/sda /dev/sdb and /dev/sdc
I changed the emnu.lst to poin to /dev/sdd3 for root.
When I boot I get to stage that swap is not recognized this is the message I get
INIT version 2.87 booting
Mounting Proc at /proc
Mounting Sys at /Sys
Mounting dev at /Dev
unable to find swap space signature
remounting root file system read-only (in resources)
checking root file system
Failed to open the device /dev/sda3: No such device or address
bash$:
How to I resolve this, is it looking for my original /dev/sda3 which is now /dev/sdd3 and where?
Thanks

Update /etc/fstab too, while you are at it. |
