Hi,

I am experiencing slow browsing to some websites with konqueror 3.2.2 after upgrading to baselayout-1.11.13.
Before I had been using baselayout-1.9.4-r6.

I had the same problem a long tome ago and solved it after setting

Quote:
[KDE_NO_IPV6=TRUE

in the file

Quote:
/etc/env.d/99kde-env

It seems konqueror is waiting a long time to get some banner advertising loaded and often pages are loaded incomplete.

This happens for sites like

http://www.theregister.co.uk/

or sites with a lot of frames and a lot of advertising.

I use

Quote:
Linux xkiste 2.6.11-gentoo-r4 #3 Tue May 24 22:34:43 CEST 2005 i686 Pentium III (Katmai) GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

I think the upgrade broke something in the network settings, as browsing with konqueror before was perfect.

I use a WLAN connection with

Quote:
linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1_pre26

and a DWL-122 USB stick.

The WLAN connection gets started during system startup by

Quote:
/etc/init.d/wlan start

My dhcpclient is:

Quote:
dhcp-3.0_p2-r6

Can I safely downgrade to baselayout-1.9.4-r6 ?

Has anyone some hints? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

The problem has been solved. It was merely a problem with a DNS server. After I have changed the nameserver entry in my resolv.conf, everything works fine.
