Posted: Tue Aug 09, 2005 2:10 pm Post subject: Boot failure on PowerMac G5 7,3 5. 1.8f7 w/ univ-ppc-2005.1

I downloaded the install-ppc-universal-2005.1.iso and tried to boot on my G5 but got invalid memory access at $SRR0 0000... and stopped there. It works OK with G4 machines. Does anyone have any idea? Any fixes on this? Please help! Jin

You could try the ppc64 version.
