When I connect my LCD display via DVI, the screen turns really dark(even BIOS and everything), you can barely see whats on it. Theres no problem using normal VGA. Has this happend to anyone else before? What do you suspect?

Bad hardware, cable or dvi port on the monitor or your graphics card.

I doubt its the graphics card because when I use DVI-2-VGA converter, and the VGA cable goes to the VGA port on the monitor its working. I initially thought its the graphics card untill i took it back to the store and they tested it in front of me and it worked (quite embarassing  ). So yeah either the cable or the dvi input on the monitor. Now I actually notice that the text doesnt display anymore when using DVI, all you see is the backlight on the screen and fully black screen. People are coming over on friday to take it and fix it. Its fortunately still under warranty.

[ot]sorry, but I cannot resist: what does LCD stand for? Hm? (answer) Therefore: What is a LCD Display???? Ever heard of a DVD disk?  *sigh*[/ot]
