Mobo: Asus A8V-E DELUXE
Im used to use init 0 to shut down my computer, but now when i do it, the system would actually restart even though it says "Power down" in the end of linux shut down process.
EDIT: just tested it in FreeBSD and the problem is NOT happening there. Perhaps but in Linux ACPI? _________________ There is, a not-born, a not-become, a not-made, a not-compounded. The Linux ACPI interpreter is very strict with respect to what it accepts. There are a lot of broken DSDTs that don't work in Linux but work in Windows. I don't know what FreeBSD uses for ACPI, but maybe it's less strict.
You can try to check your DSDT. Maybe the DSDT that came with the new BIOS is broken. |
