is there anyway i can avoid compiling kde 3.5 for the next 12hrs? are there any packages? |

You mean precompild packages? As far as I know, on the universal install cd are precompiled packages for kde, but I don't think it's 3.5
But when you start installing it with Code: | emerge kdebase-startkde kicker | you will get a minimalistic and even fast compiled kde and from that on you can choose which packages you need |
