|
|
Ideally, I would like to monitor my wireless network and report all IP addresses that manage to connect to it, either via log files or something like an email notification.
I've poked around but I can't seem to find software that really will statisfy my request.
Has anyone experience with monitoring their own wireless network that can give me some suggestions?
I do employ WEP, MAC Filtering, e.t.c. And I am installing an IPCOP machine this weekend, but I would also like to monitor the network.
I have a linksys wireless router 802.11b, nothing special.
Thanks,
Mike |

And what if the access point is actually a Linux box?
Is there any easy way to keep a seperate log for clients who try to connect with it? I'm using madwifi's drivers and WEP encryption... |

Then you install kismet right on the box which is even better and connect it to snort...
And btw DONT USE WEP its not secure at all! |
