|
|
I emerged gdesklets this evening and got it set up and running. You know, that little menu bar with the floating icons that swell when the mouse passes over them like in OSX...
So anyway, while it is running my shift keys refuse to function. I cannot hold down the shift and type a capital letter, or anything else requiring the shift-combo, like the $ or % signs.
It works fine when I terminate the daemon, but as soon as I start it up again the shift ceases to work.
I did a search but did not find a similar situation elsewhere.
Anyone know what might be causing this? _________________ All your base are belong to us. |

I've been scouring the web for an answer to this problem. I'm running Ubuntu, but I am experiencing the exact, same problem. If I find anything I will post the solution here too. |

I found the problem.
The key for toggling float mode was set to <shift> + <F12> and for some reason it seemed to be waiting for <F12> to be pressed whenever I hit <shift>. I set that key to something else and it works like a charm now. |
