|
|
Just having installed Gentoo on my mailserver/sambaserver/webserver to be (yeah, my first monitorless PC ) and then I come across libpng in the dependencies of samba and guess what, it won't compile it stops with the following error:
Code: | {standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:1090: Error: value of ffffffffffffff7f too large for field of 1 bytes at 0000000000001016
make: *** [pngrtran.o] Error 1

So what is wrong and how can this be helped?
Sincerely,
Remco |

Okay, it wasn't that hard after all.... apparantly gcc 3.2 didn't like the k6-3 flag, I compiled libpng with i586 and am running smoothly again... |
