|
|
I looked through the forums about this, but it didn't seem like anyone was having the same problem...if I'm wrong, please point me in the right direction.
Occasionally amarok will crash without warning - sometimes at the end of a song, sometimes at the beginning of another, sometimes in the middle of a song. It doesn't SEEM to be the engine - I've tried xine, artsd, gstreamer and aKode - and they all exhibit this behavior. I thought I'd fixed it by unmerging and remerging, but no such luck so far...

Then this isn't an amaroK problem and re-emerging would not help. Sounds to me like a sound card or alsa problem. |

The same problem appeared for me after updating my system. At present my (bad but working) "solution" is to uncheck "Watch folders for changes" in "Configure Collection"...
Hopefully this will help you. |

I'm encountering this problem aswell.

This is with the latest ebuild (1.32-r1).
I tried all sound engines and folder scan options.
In contrary to many other reporters of this bug, my cpu isn't an amd64, but a Intel P4.
The weird thing is that the crashes are very random.
Sometimes it happens during the first track played. Other times it happens after 15 played tracks.
I'm going to install it with the debug flag to see if something usefull is in the output. |

I seem to have two distinct problems: one is amarok > 1.3 (1.3.1-r1 and higher) crashing on startup if my collection (which is a bit huge) is enabled; the other one is xine-lib > 1.1.0 (1.1.0-r3 and higher) refusing to play Ogg Vorbis. Anyone else have anything similar? _________________ .i lu doi ringos.star. xu do puku'aroroi dunli dopecaku leni virnu li'u
