I'm trying to get a cisco aironet a/b/g card working wtih a gentoo 2.6.6. When I put it in the drive, it refuses to recognize it? I know wireless works because I've used cisco 350s in it before.

What do you mean by "refuses to recognize it" ? Not recognized at the PCMCIA/Cardbus level, or the driver won't work ? I'm assuming driver problems here (because it's the most likely).

The 350 card and your a/b/g card probably do not use the same chipset. The a/b/g card probably uses an Atheros chipset, like most cards supporting 802.11a, and in that case, it uses the madwifi driver (emerge madwifi-driver).
