Moin moin,
ich hab ne alte Awe64 Isa eingebaut. Im Kernel hab ich die AlsaTreiber für den AWE64 einmal als Modul und auch einmal fest einkompiliert. Das Problem ist nun, dass ich wenn cih alsaconf ausführe die AWE Treiber nicht zusehen bekomme in der Auswahl für Isa Karten. Da stehen nur der 8 und der 16-bit Soundblaster. Ich hab auch mal den ISA-PNP-BIOS support aktiviert. Hat auch nix gebracht.
Wenn ich alsconf starte kommt:

Werden irgendwo die Ausgaben beim booten geloggt?
Bevor die Frage kommt: Der AWE wird im SetupScreen richtig erkannt und angezeigt.
Weiß da jmd abhilfe bzw. ne Lösung?

P.S.: Den Alsa bekomme ich mit SB16 nun zum laufen ich frag mich nur wieso nicht mit dem AWE. |

Hi,
ich weiss nicht ob ich hier genau ins Schwarze treffe aber:
1. ist ISA Unterstützung im Kernel einkompiliert ?
2. ISA-PNP-BIOS support ist bei PNP-ISA abzuschalten
3. kannst du das AWE64 Modul händisch laden (modprobe ...)?
4. stimmt der Interrupt im BIOS mit der Karte überein (Jumper auf Karte)
5. falls Karte ohne Jumper (s.g. PNP-Karte) versuche folgendes:
> pnpdump -c /etc/isapnp.conf
> isapnp /etc/isapnp.conf
und jetzt das Modul händisch laden (insmod ... oder modprobe ...)
und ??
