I'm having problems with my ACPI related buttons / events. dmesg reports that these are ready and able to be recognized
ACPI: Lid Switch [LID]
ACPI: Power Button (CM) [PBTN]
ACPI: Sleep Button (CM) [SBTN]
I've compiled Buttons in the kernel not as modules so I know its not a problems of modprobing the button module. I've tested hibernate and it works like a charm. When i do cat /proc/acpi/event with acpid turned off nothing happens when I trigger an event such as hitting the power button or closing the lid. I'm running on a Dell Inspiron 1100 and have not had any problems with Suspend2 aside from some weirdness with ndiswrapper. Any ideas? |

Have a look at /etc/acpi/events/default and add acpid to your default runlevel ( rc-update) |
