Memory about 1 Gig not seen

I have just installed 2 Gig of RAM in my Gentoo box, however the OS only sees 1 Gig of that. The hardware (box) see the full two Gig's. Is there something else that I need to do with my gentoo setup so that it utilizes all the RAM installed?

You need to reconfigure && recompile your kernel
Procesor Type and Features ->
High Memeory Support 4G

enable hi mem in the kernel.
