Hi,

Is there any way to tell portmap which (static) ports he should assign to nis and nfs so that I can use a iptables/firewall configuration to secure the system ?
(current-state: the ports are dynamically assigned)

I found a couple of posts about the issue;

Hopefully these may point you in the right direction.

Hi, it's me again :)

Does anybody know how I can tell ypbind which ports it should get from portmap ?
(Or how I can tell portmap which ports he should assign to ypbind)

Hyp

EDIT: I solved the problem: for Nis there is a file where you can but YPBINDARGS="-p 333" to assign Nis to the port 333.
