|

For the last couple of days mythtv has been unable to record. Not sure what hapens, but when I try to play back the recording, it will not do anything. It prints out to the console that it can't find the file, and sure enough, it doesn't exist in /mnt/store. Also, if I try to watch live TV, I'l go right back to the mythtv menu. What is going on here? And looking in mythtvs information center, I have about 130GB left of hard drive space.
Solved!

I assume you havn't changed any permissions on the directory or the user mythbackend runs as?
If mythbackend isn't run as root check that the user it runs as can read and write files to /mnt/store
Sorry if you tried stuff like that |

Are you able to create a file there at all? .ie su to the required user and
Code: |
cd /mnt/store
touch foo
|
Also you could check out the logfile at /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log. You can set logging verbosity in /etc/conf.d/mythbackend. |

The ivtv module disapeared from /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6. Must have been careless with etc-update.
Before I put solved in the subject, how do I get mythtv to delete everything that never got recorded from the list of previously recorded shows? |

If you can see a heading for the show in recorded (but there is no file for it) then you should be able to delete the show as normal from within mythtv.
Otherwise you might have to go in to the mysql database manually to clean up. I'm not so sure of everything you'll have to take care of there though.
I'm glad you sorted out your other problem though. |
