I b0rked my old gentoo installation and am trying to re-install but although I use the instructions in the handbook to the letter I can't get any networking after I chroot into the new environment, is this is a 2005.1 bug? and is there a way to fix it? I need this machine up and running ASAP cos I do all my work on it.
EDIT: ARGH, just realised I've posted this in networking and security and not installing gentoo .... bugger... could some kind mod please move this to installing gentoo?
EDIT2(last one really!): Ok, I've fixed it, for some reason I had to exit out of the chroot, copy the resolv.conf over twice and then re-mount the proc and chroot again. But it all seems to be working now
