I'm trying to install gklmsensors, I have lm-sensors already installed and working.
gklmsensors won't compile, this is what I'm getting:
Code: | gcc -Wall -fPIC -Wall `gtk-config --cflags` `imlib-config --cflags-gdk` -c sensors.

It goes on longer if it'll help NE1. |

are you sure there's no configure script you have to run before running make? |

here's the contents of the dir: Code: | ls
AUTHORS Changelog INSTALL Makefile readme sensors.c |
the contents of the install file Code: | Requirement:
gtk : http://gtk.org
gkrellm : http://gkrellm.org
Compilation:
make
Test:
make test
Installation:
Installation in home directory :
cp sensors.so ~/.gkrellm/plugins
Installation in /usr
cp sensors.so /usr/share/gkrellm/plugins |
doing a ./configure gives me Code: | bash: ./configure: No such file or directory |
I thought it was odd too that they don't want me to configure anything. |

I had confusion when I first installed mine using lm-sensors also, and the author was very helpful. I quote " You don't need to make/compile anything extra. Support for lm-sensors is built-in to GKrellm2."
After running the sensors-detect script and making sure all the modules load on boot, I installed GKrellm2 and it all just worked. Nothing extra is needed for that.
After viewing your module list to make sure all modules are loaded, try just emerging gkrellm2 and see if its config sees the sensors.

It is also built into gkrellm 1.2.13 and possibly earlier versions. If you have the modules loaded you can just open up the config menu for gkrellm and there will be a "sensors" tab under "builtin" |

No need to be alarmed I'm just stupid.
They're built right into gkrellm, not plugins.... oops. |

No you're not. I gathered plugins for GK too! Luckily I contacted the author about it asking which plugin was the best to use.
I think part of the problem is we don't see the sensors entry until sensors are loaded/enabled in the system so we assume we need a plugin to make it work.

RioFL, did you happen to find a plugin that'll allow the mail notification thingie to work for hotmail accounts? That's my next mission. |
