I'm having a problem with ide dma, setup doesn't work withou passing "ide=nodma" parameters to kernel. then everything goes correctly, but I'll not survive without dma forever!! My hd is an Maxtor 6y080l0 and I'm wondering someone has already solved this problem, as I've seen many people have problens with maxtor~dma~kernel. Abou my machine, it's a AMD K8 64bits 3000+, motherboard k8v-x series, 512 ram, dvd-rw drive lg. Please, anyone knows what parameter should fix it?! |
