|

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a card with higher quality TV-out that my current geforce2
mx. I have used the tvout on the unichrome. It had good color fidelity, dot
crawl, but bad overscan. Also, it's built into a different motherboard than
the one with the current tv computer.
I've looked around. The geforce4 series has good tools for controlling
overscan and doing tvout, but it seems like overkill to buy a card like that
just for the tv portion. Does anyone know a good card that's capable?
Thanks! |

I've heard good things about the Geforce2 TI .
But the geforce4 are so cheap now that you might as well buy one of them. |

Framebuffer output on a wintv pvr350 is actually pretty good, plus, it's a hardware mpeg2 encoder. I have not, however tried to record a tv stream while tv-outing.
Here's what I use for my tv-out:

Yeah, it's a little expensive, but the Composite, S-Video, and Component video outputs is a great option. Also, it's easier to set up an 800x600 or 1024x768 standard video out than it was to set up a tv-out(at least when I got it). |
