Hello,

I've run into a problem where I'm trying to extend my desktop to an external monitor with my laptop. No matter what I do with the xorg.conf the only thing I can get is a clone of the local flat panel display. Here are the details:

1) Chipset: Intel 852GM/855GM
2) External Monitor: Sony-P232W

Many laptop graphics cards/hardware configs don't work with Xinerama as they only allow you to switch between clone or either output. I beleive the one you have may be one of them.
