i thought i'd be able to figure this out, or at least a work-around.
i've encorporated the trackpoint kernel patch that's available at thinkwiki.org, and i have the following in my xorg.conf:
Code: |
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Trackpoint"
Driver "mouse"
Option "SendCoreEvents"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mouse0"
Option "EmulateWheel" "on"
Option "EmulateWheelButton" "2"
EndSection
|
which does enable scrolling (hold middle button, and move trackpoint), but this disables the middle click functions like pasting copied text, and things like open link in new tab in firefox.
i can't seem to get scrolling and middle clicking.
any advice? |

good question, i have just experienced the same problem with me new used t22, scrolling is nice, but middle click and middle-click-copy&paste is even nicer
hope someone wiser does care about our poor souls...
/edit: well, it works with the tp-scroll tool, still it is laggy and more or less a hack. if there's a native version i'd be more happy. thanks for all advice!
using /dev/input/mice or /dev/input/mouse0 resp. IMPS/2 doesn't work either |
