So I was running Gentoo ok on 2004.3 and upgraded my machine to 2005.1 and pretty much choose the same Kernel config as I did before -- but now the machine locks up right after it says that it freed the unused Kernel memory. I tried to tinker with my Kernel by enabling and disabling different things but the problem continues. Wonding if anybody has any ideas of what might be up. Thanks! That actually works. What I am doing now is just systematically removing things from the kernel and seeing what causes it to stop working. I, for some reason, hate having too much compiled in the Kernel.. while it probably doesn't make that big of a difference -- I just like it that way. _________________ AMD Athlon 64 3200+, Socket 939 64-bit Processor, nVIDIA GeForce 6600 Video Card, 128MB DDR, 128-Bit, NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU, Model "VNF4/Ultra", 184 Pin 512MBx2 DDR PC-3200 |
