Hi !

here is an problem out of my skills : I got a TrendNet PCMCIA Wireless card (TEW-421PC 54Mbps). I configure it thanks to all posts on the subjetcs using ndiswrapper. Adding wlan0 to default rc-update, modifying /etc/conf.d/net, reboot my laptop, it worked but unfortunately, it worked only once ... the second time I reboot my laptop it seemed to take a while for configuring the wireless interface and then it aborts; I've rebooted 10 times and never got the connection again !

It cannot be a simple trick, since I've triple check everything ;) (/etc/conf.d/wireless, /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6, no router changes ... )

So if anybody had same problem or any ideas please give me a way to test ... thanks

Hugo

Did you check "dmesg" for any messages regarding wlan0 or ndiswrapper?

Yes I've checked it :

> dmesg | grep ndiswrapper
ndiswrapper version 1.2 loaded (preeempt=yes,smp=yes)
ndiswrapper: driver tnet1130 (Texas Instruments, 06/17/2004,6.0.5.30) loaded
ndiswrapper: using irq 11
wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device 00:40:f4:c8:73:38 using driver tnet1130, configuration file 104C:9066:104C:9067.5.conf

>ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
tnet1130 driver present, harware present

... perhaps I sould reinstall everything ? just to try ...
