Hi,
I have troubles to connect to my WLAN router at home now, which was working for quite a while now.
The only thing I changed the last days was an emerge --update world where new packages for the ipw2200 have been installed.
I have no idea what goes wrong at the moment.
This is my /etc/conf.d/wpa_supplicant.conf:
# Copyright 1999-2004 Gentoo Foundation
# Distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v2
# $Header: /var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/net-wireless/wpa_supplicant/files/wpa_supplicant-0.3.8-r1-conf.d,v 1.1 2005/07/13 18:18:51 brix Exp $
# List of interfaces
INTERFACES="eth1"
# Common arguments to all wpa_supplicant instances
ARGS="-w"
# Interface specific arguments
#ARGS_eth1="-Dipw"
.... and this one is the /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
# The below line not be changed otherwise we refuse to work
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
# Ensure that only root can read the WPA configuration
ctrl_interface_group=0
# Let wpa_supplicant take care of scanning and AP selection
ap_scan=1
# My wireless network settings
network={
ssid="*myssid*"
scan_ssid=1
proto=WPA
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
pairwise=TKIP
group=TKIP
psk="*mysecretpsk*"
}
Additionally I have the ifplugd installed. /etc/conf.d/ifplugd is:
# -*-sh-*-

# If you set AUTO to yes, you have to read https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28362
# I recommend a delay of 0, both ways, since then, you can swap ethernet
# cables on different networks and get a new ip address.
# None of the programs I tested had a problem with the interface being
# gone in the mean time.

IGNORE_RETVAL="yes"

# the global variable is ignored, when a variable like this is set for an
# interface
# MONITOR_wlan0="yes"

Does anybody has an idea what I could check?
Thanks for your help.
The problem:
/etc/init.d/net.eth1 start
* Starting eth1
* Starting wpa_supplicant on eth1 ... [ ok ]
* timed out
Cheers. |
