I can start it, but when I have to move my army, teg disappear. If launched from a console, it dispalys this message:

GnomeCanvas-ERROR **: file gnome-canvas.c: line 3459 (gnome_canvas_update_now): assertion failed: (canvas->idle_id == 0)
aborting...


any hint?

**edit**

the problem is in fluxbox. If I play it under enlightenment (e17-cvs) it seems to be fine

I have exactly the same problem. I've tried a few little somethings to fix it, but have had no luck so far. Any hints? Anybody?

Did you recently upgrade gnomecanvas? That could be the cause of it.

I suppose so. I *think* this behaviour started with the release of gnome 2.2. I've been pretty busy of late, though, and couldn't say this with any certainty.

I have an extremely similar error with evolution. I saw in another thread where recompiling gdk-pixbuf fixed a reference to gnome-canvas.c....going to try that.
