Hi I just bougt a M audio delta 1010lt for my home recordings. According to the alsa matrix it uses the envy24 driver (ice1712).
Alsa finds both my onboard soundcard and my delta card.
Now my problem is that my nvidia onboard card works flawlessly, at least when listening to music using xmms. While I try using the delta it says that either the hw:1,0 isn't found or device or resource busy... also I've seen that it does'nt accept the sample or w/e.
I see my card when I do lspci
It identifies correctly in the title on envy24controller
What is the problem?[/code]

same here with an m-audio delta audiophile 24/96, and my second testing-on-linux ESI Juli@ card which is envy24ht (ice1724)
but that error occurs only in xmms/bmp here. all other apps like jackd etc that access hw: directly work flawlessly, the alsa plug of xmms is a piece of crap!
so create a .asoundrc and either redefine the default device (gentoo-wiki has a good example for ice1712 cards), or define a new device like pcm.delta or something and set xmms to use 'delta' as device then. that should do the trick
Code: | pcm.delta {
type hw
card 1
} |
but creating that new pcm doesn't work here. not with the delta nor with the Juli@
i had to redefine the default device here _________________ http://proaudio.tuxfamily.org/wiki - pro-audio software overlay
