when i reboot the computer it fails to load this module and i get the netmount is not started message
i run ifconfig and only lo is showing up
my /etc/conf.d/net file only has iface_etho="dhcp" uncommented
what other places can i check for problems? _________________ l like gentoo....it's good.. |

Can you load the module manually?
if not, what error messages are returned? |

In mine I have these both uncommented:
Code: |
iface_eth0="dhcp"
dhcpcd_eth0=""
|
Dunno if that makes any difference, it works for me.
First thing to do it make sure the module is loading ok, then try dhcpcd eth0 to ensure that it will work. |

i tried that and it says can't locate module 8139too.
i recompiled the kernel and had the option for this module checked in make menuconfig, but it still can't find it.
any other ideas? _________________ l like gentoo....it's good.. |

I figured it out. when i load it as a module it came right up. i am not sure why this made a difference, but it works now. _________________ l like gentoo....it's good.. |
