I've just followed the wiki article on Xorg and fonts. now I'm attempting to try some out in an aterm

I try first (pre-installed font)

Code:

[nqs@idiot nqs]% aterm -fn 9x15

no probs

then I try a new font:

Code:

[nqs@idiot nqs]% aterm -fn slogan
aterm: can't load font "slogan"

so I try:

Code:

[nqs@idiot nqs]% aterm -fn slogan.pfb
aterm: can't load font "slogan.pfb"

and lastly:

Code:

[nqs@idiot nqs]% aterm -fn /usr/share/fonts/freefonts/slogan.pfb
aterm: can't load font "/usr/share/fonts/freefonts/slogan.pfb"

what is the proper syntax for loading a font?
