Hi all!
I've got strange problem booting Gentoo 2005.0 in my PowerBook G4/400.
Boot process gets to this point:

...and freezes. After 5-6 restarts it goes through this point smooth (!?) and boots ok.

Your video controller seems to be ati rage 128.
Why did you include radeon driver?
Drop it and then try it.
