[SOLVED] What to do to set / (root) visible for user????

I have created an user like the handbook said,, but user couldnt enter / partition,, /home is ok, /mnt is ok,, but not root(sometimes I need it to get to other dir in some gui)...

fstab :

/dev/md0 / reiserfs defaults,notail,noatime 0 1

root see it well..

Or should I add user to some other group to see the / ??? and if, then how??

make sure that the user was added to the 'user' group and any other groups you want them to have access to. Also please post the output from the following command:

Ive looked for the bug, and It looks like to unpack a new stage3, should I do it w/o system loss???
how to add user to some group??
