So, I'm pulling my hair out over this one. I have a shuttle SN25P with the latest Y BIOS revision.

I plugged in a PS/2 keyboard, and it will boot. I can use the keyboard for a couple of minutes before it's IRQ gets stomped all over.

I went out and bought a USB keyboard thinking the USB system is working fine, so that should fix the problems. But it also gets stomped on after a couple of minutes.

My mouse always works 100% fine throughout all of this.

When booting, I get a load of messages about pcie_portdrv_probe invalid IRQ (I get the same message about 5 times in a row while booting up). When the PS/2 keyboard was plugged in, the kernel message said it couldn't find the aux irq, so it was assigning a deault of 1 and 12. proc/interrupts only ever showed an interrupt at IRQ 1.

I've tried usb-whatever, acpi=off, i8042.acpi=1, pci=routeirq, pci=noacpi, pci=biosirq, and pretty much every possible combination of all of these, and have never gotten my keyboard to work for more than a couple of minutes.

I mean, come on here. This is a freakin keyboard!!! It shouldn't be this hard!!!!

I'm currently recompiling the kernel, but that's because I'm just about out of ideas here! Everything worked fine before I had to update my BIOS to the latest revision to get dual core support. I've also tried reserving IRQ's, shutting USB off, twiddling with this and that, and never got anythign to work. Please help!

I was looking through some of my status message on the box, and here's what comes out of /proc/interrupts:

Looks like eth0 is conflicting with my ohci_hcd usb2? How do I resolve that? I would guess in my BIOS, but I don't remember anything in the setup that would allow me to do that.

Hi,

Same problem here on a dfi baord, an upgrade to vanilla sources 2.6.13-rc6 solved the problem :)

Powernow saving is also working, you know the trick:

echo ondemand > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
echo ondemand > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/cpufreq/scaling_governor

Solved! Everything looks to be working great! My dmesg output still has a lot of the same errors and warnings (expect it now directly probes and kinds the keyboard drivers -- it doesn't have to guess), and my /proc/interrupts still have ohci_hcd:usb2 sharing an interrupt with eth0.

But I've been using it for about 40 minutes without a lockup, whereas previously I would have only been able to use it for 2-3 minutes. Looks like a solved problem to me.
