Beep media player crashes on track change

I recently updated beep media player (I now have v0.9.7). It worked fine before, but now it crashes every time the track is changed. I will load the playlist, and then it starts playing without a problem. I hear sound and everything. However, when it changes tracks, it crashes (exits without warning). The command line output is "Received SIGSEGV" when it crashes. I have a song change plugin, but the crash happens even when the plugin is disabled. Any ideas?

Yea I'm having similar problems although on my system the bmp just hangs after a couple of song changes. I noticed that this freeze happens only if I have the playlist window open. If I keep the playlist window closed when I'm listening/changing songs bmp seems to work just fine.
