i have to run fsck on hda1 evry time i reboot, i get a tipe in root password, or press control+d
if i press control+d evryting works
i have rund fsck on hda1
still same thing
if this was on my own box it would not be any problems. but it is a remote box, so i have to call
is ther anyway to fix this?

Sounds like you have a problem with your /etc/fstab. Could you please post it here.

/dev/hda3 / reiserfs noatime,notail 0 1
/dev/hda2 none swap sw 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

here is my /etc/fstab:

/dev/hdc /mnt/cdrw iso9660 noauto,ro 0 0
/dev/hdd /mnt/dvd iso9660 noauto,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto 0 0

proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
shm /dev/shm tmpfs nodev,nosuid,noexec 0 0

192.168.0.4:/mnt/shit /mnt/shit nfs auto,rw 0 0

i haven't changed it though and it worked fine before.
