I'm trying to install LILO (since GRUB is likely having hardware problems) and when I try to I get an error that says it is masked. I was told there was a file that would allow me to unmask LILO so I can emerge it. What is this file and where can I find it? _________________ "If at first you do succeed try not to look astonished" -- Something for all computer programmers to live by |

Depends on your arch. For x86 lilo is stable unmasked. For amd64 lilo is unstable; you need to add a line
sys-boot/lilo ~amd64
to /etc/portage/package.keywords.
All other arches lilo is -arch masked. There's probably a reason for this. _________________ No more cruft
