On the console, anything colored blue, directories for example, are displayed as blue, but have a line through the middle of every character (strikethrough, I believe it's called). Other colors come through fine, symlinks or .gz's for example.
My terminal type is "linux", although "xterm" does the same. SSH'ing in to the box with PuTTY displays the colors properly.
It's not a terrible problem. I just set DIR to 00 in DIR_COLORS.
Also, this is a new install from the 01/14 ISO. I'm building X right now, so I'll see how colors are displayed in a true xterm. But my gut feeling tells me it will display fine. Changing the font type doesn't help. I tried drdos8x16 to no avail.
Any thoughts? I searched through the forums, but didn't see anything relevant.
Thanks! |

I get that problem when I use vga=extended in my lilo.conf. If I use vga=normal, or the vesa framebuffer which I now use, no strikethrough. /shrug _________________ MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk

Hrm, I'm using GRUB, but I'll look into it. Seems reasonable enough.
Thanks! |
