I have problems getting my dvd player to eject and cdrecord will not burn things saying /usr/bin/cdrecord: Operation not permitted. Cannot send SCSI cmd via ioctl. My dmesg shows things all fucked up.

But I can't make heads or tails of this and don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Damn, you're right. Must be a bug in my burning software. Anyway I managed to screw with it and get it to work. :) Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
