Dear all,
How can I emerge non official packages?
I had create an opera_6.01 packages and I would install it, but if I exec
the system display me the dependencies of the official opera package.
If I try to exec
Code: | ebuild opera_6.01.ebuild unpack |
and
Code: | ebuild opera_6.01.ebuild install |
The system install opera under /var/tmp/portage/opera-xxxx/work/opera-xxxx/image/opt/opera/bin.
In some mails I had read that is needed to 'mask' emerge to install non official or beta
release of some packages, what's means?
Thanks _________________ ----------------

/var/tmp/..../image is the temporary build directory where a package is installed. You should use ebuild ...... merge or when it is already installed in /var/tmp.../image/... you can use ebuild ..... qmerge to actually install it in the root directory and add it to the package database. _________________ "Remember there's a big difference between kneeling down and bending over.", Frank Zappa |
