modprobe snd-cmipci gives

And in /var/log/messages I find

Quote:

snd_cmipci: Unknown symbol snd_verbose_printk

Is this an indication of a bug or of my missing something? I have made attempts to configure my kernel as per various postings (not all consistent), and also. for emerging and configuring. This is on a dual Opteron system, kernel 2.6.12-gentoo-r9. Thanks,
