I have a audigy2 card, and run alsa in 2.6 kernel. Sound plays ok, but there's other functions included with my audigy2 that I would like to get running...the volume-knob on the external device, the remote, the mute button etc..
But first of all I would like to get my Line-in and Line-in2 to work, I want to play my guitar through them!
Since the mixer in gnome have something like 50-100 functions I have no clue which ones actually do anything for my audigy2 :S
So is there a guide or something that focus mainly on Audigy2 and alsa that I can read?
thanx guys! |

I had too problems getting line-in to work with my audigy2zs, and found the solution in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/sound/alsa/Audigy-mixer.txt file ... in short, you need to umute Line-in and set volume on the "Analog Mix Playback Volume" ... and if you want record, also set the capture mixers |

ohh thanx, I got the line-in to work now... seems like I should use the alsamixer instead of the mixer that comes with gnome, cause changing the settings in the gnome-mixer didn't help, I had to do it in alsamixer |
