hi.
i installed gentoo, but when i was rewriting MBR through /sbin/lilo, it returns:
setup length exceeded 31 maximum; kernel setup will overwrite bootloader
my lilo.conf:
boot=/dev/hda
prompt
timeout=100
default=gentoo
image=/boot/kernel-2.6.12-gentoo-r6
label=gentoo
read-only
root=/dev/hda8
append="video=vesafb:mtrr,ywrap,1024x768-16@85"
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.6.12-gentoo-r6 |

| May I ask what your partition scheme is? This may be unrelated or it might be. But hda and hda8 seems alittle off. |
